Most current Toyota and Honda engines are designed around full synthetic oil with extended drain intervals. Conventional oil breaks down faster in heat and stop-and-go traffic, both of which are routine for Folsom drivers.
We use the viscosity grade specified for your vehicle. That is typically 0W-20 for current Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Civic, Accord, and CR-V models, 0W-16 for newer Prius and Insight hybrids, and a range of grades across older Lexus and Acura models. Running the wrong viscosity affects fuel economy and long-term wear.
